The Facilities Directorate (FD) is responsible for designing, building and maintaining our campus and providing the best possible campus experience and service for our communities. We aim to achieve this through our Facilities Directorate ‘Our Way Ahead’ plan and the Directorate is structured into three core portfolios:

• Masterplanning, Asset Management & Sustainability
• Infrastructure, Construction & Delivery
• Campus Services, Experience & Commercial

Campus Services, Experience and Commercial Portfolio

The Campus Services, Experience and Commercial portfolio brings together a range of services that are focussed on delivering and contributing to the University campus experience, creating a sense of place and of belonging.

The three new senior leadership roles are being introduced to work collaboratively and cohesively together, leading beyond reporting lines and across boundaries to enhance the provision of services, opportunities and experiences for the University community. The roles will report into the Director of Campus Innovation (Campus Services, Experiences and Commercial) and are aligned to the purpose and needs of eveyone who experiences the campus and the role that the Facilities Directorate plays in contributing to the campus experience.

The Roles

Deputy Director of Campus Experiences, Residences and Sport & Physical Activity

Leading a portfolio including Residential Services and the Sport & Physical Activity service, with the responsibility of leading the creation and delivery of campus experience programmes and initiatives, in collaboration with a range of stakeholders that will create a sense of place and of belonging for our University community.

Deputy Director of Campus Services and Engagement

Responsible for the portfolio of Campus Services and leading on engagement with University faculties and services supporting the FD contribution to initiatives and projects e.g. Graduation, business continuity and campus safety.

Deputy Director of Commercial and Business Development

Responsible for strategically leading a portfolio of Commercial Services and driving value and income in commercial activities and business development opportunities through an innovative and entrepreneurial approach.
