The College campus is on a seven-acre site in the heart of North London with good transport links to central London. On site, LBC occupies a Grade II* listed building where classrooms, seminar rooms, student study rooms and offices are located, along with a cafe. 

Role

Job Purpose: To provide fundraising, engagement, events, marketing and communications support to the Development Manager and Communications Executive. 

Duties

  • Manage donor database – Donorfy
  • Track Patrons & Friends engagement and financial journeys, liaise with patrons
  • Draft and edit communications copy (press releases, publications, social media posts, etc...)
  • Provide weekly support for the Communications Director, who is only available 1 day per week.
  • Update & maintain web content
  • Execute social media strategies
  • Create and curate compelling content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor and respond to social media comments, messages and mention
  • Assist in the delivery of fundraising and engagement events. 

Person Specification 

Essential

  • Strong Understanding of Progressive Judaism
  • Flair for social media & developing stories
  • Copy writing experience
  • IT proficiency including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Experience using databases
  • Initiative and ability to be proactive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure; a competent multi-tasker with acute attention to detail
  • Prepared to undertake a wide range of tasks, a willingness to be flexible in approach to work, and an ability to work as an integral part of the team 

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in higher education administration
  • Previous experience working in a charity
  • Previous experience of grant writing
