Description of Post
ATU currently delivers a range of Level 8 programmes. Of particular note for this position are our honours degree programmes in the area of Chemical & Pharmaceutical Science and Forensic Science & Analysis. As part of our ongoing development, we now wish to recruit an assistant lecturer with good experience in Analytical Chemistry.
The role involves the delivery and continuing development of programmes under the general heading of Forensic Science & Analysis and Chemical & Pharmaceutical Science. The successful candidate will also be expected to develop the research capacity in Chemistry.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join a team within the School of Science and Computing and play a role in the ongoing developments within the School. As well as the requisite technical skills, results from teamwork, demonstrable skills in project management and most importantly, empathy for learners, should all be evident in the track record of the candidate.
Essential Qualifications
An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent.
Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
