We are looking for a Head of Public Events and Engagement who will lead the Public Events and Engagement Team to achieve the strategic and operational objectives for the University.
This role is responsible for the writing and delivery of the public events and engagement strategy and providing advice to the Associate Director, Recruitment and Outreach and other senior management on the direction and development of all our public events, conferences and engagement activity.
You will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Public Events and Engagement team which consists of approximately eleven colleagues. You will play an active role in delivering the University’s Welcome Week strategy as well as working with key external stakeholders to deliver public events, such as the Science Festival, as well as academic conferences in order to increase awareness of UEA and showcase our research and innovation.
You’ll have expertise in public events and will work closely with our recruitment, marketing and communications teams to deliver integrated plans and activity and collaboratively lead strategic tactic groups to achieve objectives.
We are looking for a collaborative and strategic leader with excellent communication skills who can develop successful working relationships with colleagues across the University and contribute to and lead working groups relating to overarching goals.
This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
