We are looking for a hard-working enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our team. You will be first point of contact for prospective and existing Postgraduate and Undergraduate Students.

As a professional, enthusiastic, and collaborative member of the department’s Administration team You will work collaboratively as part of the administrative support team and provide cover for other members of the team, as required (including sickness, holiday cover and the service needs of the department).

You will provide administrative support towards marketing of the courses and recruitment of new students as well as providing general support for staff and students throughout the year. You will be involved in the initial setting up and maintenance of initiatives to support academic staff involved in student recruitment and marketing and in subsequent student support.

Reporting to the Administrative Team Leader the role is part of a team of administrators who provide support for the Director of Learning and Teaching/Chair of the Board of Examiners as required, focusing on the key area of teaching administration to meet current and future departmental requirements...

You require a minimum of A Level standard education or equivalent administrative experience. You will have good knowledge, skills and experience in supporting committees including effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate at all levels.

You will be responsible, as part of a team, for the smooth running of the departmental office, as well as working with the team to maintain high levels of student satisfaction.

We expect you to work with a high degree of accuracy and possess excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office and google packages with a flexible approach to work. You will follow and update protocols and Standard Operating Procedure documents as required.

The time allocated to each of the main areas of activity will vary throughout the academic year according to demand and therefore flexibility and the ability to deal with competing demands and deadlines will be key.
