Description of Post
Applications are invited for the full-time, permanent position of Lecturer in Biomedical Technologies, within the Faculty of Science and Health.
The new appointee will be required to make significant contributions to the teaching and research activities within the Department of Analytical, Biopharmaceutical and Medical Sciences. The Department of Analytical, Biopharmaceutical and Medical Sciences delivers a range of Level 8 and 9 programmes, of particular note for this position is the departments level 9 programme in International Medical Technologies, Innovation and Development, Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Biopharmaceutical Science and Masters in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing.
The new appointee will be expected to work closely with the medical technology sector, make significant contributions to the research programmes, such as the new 3D-bioplotter/cell printing capabilities, within the Faculty of Science and Health and to the Medical and Engineering Technologies Research Centre. The new appointee will be expected to work with colleagues across the university academic disciplines and attract research funding from national and international funding bodies, such as SFI investigators programmes, the European Research Council and Horizon Europe programmes.
