Description of Post
The post relates primarily to the teaching, research, academic assessment and academic administrative direction of courses including:
- BEng (Hons) in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Apprenticeship)
- Research supervision
The priority subject areas to be covered include:
- Smart Manufacturing Technologies
- Digital Twins
- Advanced Automation Systems
- System Integration for Operational Technology
- Data management system at SCADA level
- Process Validation and Verification
Other subject areas that a need may arise in include:
- Quality & Production Techniques
- Research Methods
- Mathematics & Statistics
Essential
Qualifications
- An Honours Degree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 degree [as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent.
- Three years relevant post-qualification experience.
Salary
Assistant Lecturer Salary Scale is Salary Scale €43,073 to €58,726 (10 points).
Candidates may be considered for incremental credit above point 1 of the scale for previous relevant industry experience in accordance with University Policy.
