The Role
This role is for Academic Tutor to join our Early Childhood Development and Learning programme. With a specific focus on programmes in improving the student experience by contributing to the delivery on the courses, relevant, inspiring and thought-provoking approaches.
You will work in the Health and Social Care department and be central to creating the best learning environment for our students to embed robust academic practice into assignment production.
You will work collaboratively with Course Leaders and Tutors to ascertain specific delivery approaches required to provide the best student experience. You will be engaged with personal tutoring, to small groups, and you will participate in writing innovative assignments; provide genuinely robust feedback for improvement, and ensure you are maintaining your professional development.
You will work in conjunction with Learning Resources teams, especially, the Academic Writing Tutor(s) so that our students are fully enhanced with necessary skills to succeed.
Qualifications Required
Our Successful Candidate
An innovative and passionate practitioner with a commitment to the learning environment is required for the position of tutor for Early Childhood Development and Learning course at CU Coventry. Acquiring academic knowledge for our students is pivotal to their continued development, not only for success on programmes whilst studying at CU Coventry, but also in the wider context of progression into suitable and relevant employment.
The successful candidate will be familiar with a range of approaches to service delivery in the public sector, with a sound knowledge and understanding of appropriate theory and the ability to contextualise this to inspire and motivate a range of students.
You will have experience of teaching at a Higher Education level, with proven ability to deliver at this level, with an innovative approach and excellent communication skills.
