We're seeking a skilled and dedicated Facilities and Estates Supervisor to play a vital role in overseeing the security, safety, and functionality of our facilities and estate. From managing service providers and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, your dedication to the role will have a fundamental impact on LSTM’s success.
The Estates team provide a wide range of estates management, facilities management and operational services relating to the built environment to help implement and deliver the estates strategy for LSTM.
The successful candidate will deliver an integrated, flexible, and high quality, customer focused, campus wide service. You will ensure the highest standards of facilities management, best practice, statutory compliance, security, housekeeping and general health and safety.
Assisting with day-to-day facilities management operations across the LSTM estate (i.e. housekeeping, fire, security, logistics, reception, waste, and postal services), you will support with the supervision, monitoring and management of outsourced services and contractors.
The ideal candidate will have a good standard of numeracy and literacy with demonstrable experience of undertaking work in a similar role in a complex environment. It is essential that you have a good understanding of IATA and COSHH, Fire Warden, and Customer Care training, coupled ideally with a SIA licence – CCTV (desirable).
You must be able to evidence conformance to Health & Safety and Environment legislation relating to the built environment and have a good understanding of health and safety regulations to support LSTM’s HSE policy.
With a proven ability to monitor own and team performance, you will be confident to supervise all aspects of the workload of the reception, security, and logistics team across the estate.
This role will require you to be physically fit to undertake lifting and carrying and using mechanical lifting aids, also to be available for out of hours contact/call out when required.
A NEBOSH (General or Fire) Certificate and a valid first aid certificate is essential and would be advantageous.
