The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Building Operations Manager to take responsibility for the smooth running of Camberwell College's key buildings.

Our Building Operations team plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our Camberwell, Chelsea, and Wimbledon campuses. We work closely with Facilities, Estates Projects, and Health and Safety teams to maintain world-class learning environments for our students and staff. 

As the Building Operations Manager for Camberwell, you will oversee operations at two key sites, driving the maintenance and development of our spaces and helping to coordinate a variety of activities on site. You will be the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders relating to building operations, as well as contributing to the College’s strategic estates planning. You will lead on developing the specification for a range of building development projects and ensure building projects are managed to minimise disruption to other College activities.

About you 

  • Excellent communication skills and a focus on delivering exceptional service.
  • Proven project management expertise with multiple stakeholders.
  • IOSH qualified or equivalent with strong health and safety experience.
  • Familiarity with Building Regulations, fire risk assessments, health and safety including CDM, the Equality Act 2010, and implications for management of the built environment, etc.
  • CAD experience or willingness to undergo training.
  • Track record within creative industries, manufacturing, education, or similar complex and dynamic environments.
  • Ability to collate data, analyse findings, and manage projects effectively.
  • Experience in developing strong internal and external relationships.
