Personal Development Tutor Lead

We are looking for a Personal Development Tutor Lead to support the Student Experience Manager in leading the Personal Development programme and sessions to an outstanding standard.

This role is 40 working weeks per year and is a 27 August, 2024 start.

This role forms part of the Student Experience team who provide effective pastoral support through the delivery of well-planned group sessions covering Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare, Enrichment and Work-Ready topics.

This role is key to the success of the Personal Development programme by ensuring the Personal Development staff receive support, mentoring and best practice guidance.

You will:

• Provide high quality instruction and facilitation of learning as part of the tutorial provision across College
• Provide support to teachers and course managers with pastoral, welfare and behavioural issues including safeguarding and disciplinary actions
• Support the Student Experience Manager to lead the Personal Development Programme

The qualifications, experience and knowledge of the ideal candidate would be:

• Educated to Level 3 or equivalent
• A teaching qualification at Level 4 or willingness to work towards within the first 12 months of employment
• Safeguarding Level 2 or equivalent or willing to work towards
• The ability to motivate students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
