The College of Global Studies (the study abroad division of Arcadia University, USA) is seeking candidates for the following role
Student Services Coordinator
This role is part of the Student Life team at the Arcadia University London Center which provides a comprehensive range of support services and extra-curricular opportunities for around 1000 students per year, from over 200 schools in the US, on over 30 different programs in England & Wales. This team provides orientation, health & safety advice and support, residential life & extra-curricular programming together with advice on areas such as budgeting, student life in the UK volunteering, community engagement, social media and immigration. The team also works closely with support staff in the US to help prepare students for study abroad.
Job Outline
The team oversees support services, co-curricular activities, orientation and residence life. As well as providing general student support services as outlined above for all students as part of the Student Life team, the postholder has responsibility for providing information to students and the effective delivery of co-curricular and extra-curricular services and support to students and staff. The postholder also provides administrative support to the wider Student Services Team.
The nature of the role means that unsocial hours may need to be worked, some evenings and weekends during term time. Arcadia London operates a hybrid working policy to enable staff to work from home as work allows.

Essential
First Degree
Ability to work as part of a team while managing a varied individual workload.
Excellent communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Organisational skills
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise, with excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in IT literacy and in particular office suites
Demonstrable enthusiasm for study abroad and international education
Numerate
No restriction on permission to work in the UK
Desired
Experience of UK and US higher education systems
Good knowledge of London & the UK, an ability to engage with students about London and the UK
Conditions: The post will require the candidate to fulfil occasional on-call duties as part of a staff rota as well as participating in occasional out of hours activities in the evenings and weekends.
