Academic Support Officer

We are looking for an Academic Support Officer to engage with faculty at our partner institution Gujarat Biotechnology University to deliver pedagogy-led mentorship, training and curriculum co-development across five Biotechnology MSc Programmes.

This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious international collaboration between The University of Edinburgh and India’s first biotechnology-specific university. The post holder will work alongside an established team to inspire, empower and develop a world-class faculty and teaching environment.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

• A PhD in a relevant biological/biotechnological subject;
• Experience of designing and/or delivering training;
• Experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or masters level;
• A strong interest in pedagogy and the development of industry-focused and research-led curricula
