About the role
The University of Sussex is seeking to appoint a CAD Specialist to provide specialist technical support in managing the University’s CAD system (including digital files, records, and asset management) and ensuring that the University has an accurate database of master record drawings.
You will also play a key role in space planning and feasibility studies to inform future changes to space allocation and utilisation, in order to deliver high quality and flexible support to teaching and/or research activities.
About you
You will have a recognised professional qualification in AutoCAD Drafting (e. g. City & Guilds Level 3), extensive experience of using AutoCAD, and working knowledge of building workplace standards and relevant legislation.
You will have the ability to deliver high quality work, with strong attention to details and focus on quality, adhering to relevant standards, processes, and methodology, to tight deadlines.
You will have good inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate clearly with the team, line management and stakeholders.
Ideally, with the architectural / building services, space planning, construction, or facilities management background, you will have experience in a similar role within large, complex organisation
