This full-time post is available from 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2026 in the Department of Classics, Ancient History, Religion and Theology with an open specialism in the field of ancient history.
The role
You will join a large and dynamic department that offers a range of single and joint-honours programmes in Classics, Classical Studies and Ancient History tailored to students from all backgrounds. We are proud of our commitment to offer training in ancient languages at all levels, with large numbers taking our beginners courses every year, and of our continual commitment to expand the range and diversity of our research and teaching beyond the traditional core of the discipline. Our research is widely recognised for its commitment to interdisciplinarity and engagement with the wider world and we are home to a thriving community of postgraduate students. We seek a new colleague who shares our commitment to inspirational teaching, to fostering and amplifying diverse and marginalised voices within Classics and Ancient History, to shaping a more inclusive discipline, and to the benefits that our discipline can bring to the wider world.
You will support the delivery of teaching across a range of programmes within the Department of Classics, Ancient History, Religion and Theology. This will include the design, development and production of teaching and learning material and the delivery of teaching across a range of ancient history modules up to MA level.
