An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Careers Adviser to provide careers and employability support to students, recent graduates and staff in one-to-one guidance, group workshops and online settings.
You will provide one to one appointments for advice on CVs, applications and interview techniques as well as longer guidance appointments for UEA students, graduates and apprentices. There will be opportunity to design and deliver career management workshops and skills training and attend and present at appropriate employer and sector-focused meetings as part of our centrally delivered programme.
A degree or equivalent professional qualification or relevant experience in a Higher Education context or similar is essential. Experience working with students or graduates in an advisory capacity and excellent communication skills is key. You will have experience supporting students and graduates with employability issues, using empathy and listening skills and designing and delivering workshops.
This part-time (0.6 FTE) post is available from 20 May 2024 on a fixed term basis to 3 March 2025.
A secondment will be considered, and applicants should please ensure that a secondment will be possible with their Line Manager/Head of Department, before submitting a formal application.
