About this role: The UWE Disability Service provides advice, practical support and reasonable adjustments to enable disabled students to access and make the most of their studies. The Disability Administration Team provides support to a range of customers including applicants, students, parents, staff and external agencies from application stage through to graduation. The Admin Team are often the first point of contact for anyone engaging with the Disability Service.
About you: The Disability Service is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Disability Admin team, working 37 hours per week. You will provide advice and support and a signposting service to students, parents and UWE colleagues. You will provide support by handling telephone calls, emails, appointment bookings and other routine admin tasks. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining student records and provide regular statistical reports as required.
You will be processing personal and sensitive information for disabled people including those who have an SpLD, a mental health condition or long term health condition. You should have experience working with Data Protection regulations. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and customer care skills and who can approach their work in a calm and positive manner.
