- THE ROLE -

The post holder will work as part of a team involving Ulster University and Queens University Belfast and be responsible for engaging researchers from multiple disciplines with the Northern Ireland High Performance Computing (NI-HPC) facility. They will work with researchers to gain a clear understanding of their research challenges, help them design HPC software, and provide necessary support on deploying existing code bases and simulations onto HPC.

We may create a 12-month waiting list for the same or similar roles within the Department / Faculty. The University reserves the right to extend the waiting list across the University if required for certain posts.

- ABOUT YOU -

The post holder must have:

- An Honours Degree or MSc (or equivalent qualification) in Computing, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a closely related science-based subject area.
- Experience in a role delivering technical software that facilitates large computations, modelling, simulations or data analysis.
- Experience in at least one language commonly used for research, e.g. Python, C++, Fortran, R or Matlab.
