Senior Student Support Assistant

An opportunity has become available for the role of a Senior Student Support Assistant within the LIFE provision, based in Springfield .

Amongst other things the role will require you to support the Senior SSA Coordinator in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality programme of learning to individuals or groups of students with learning difficulties and disabilities and to assist tutors in delivering the curriculum. You will also be required to ensure new staff are supported effectively in acclimatising to the expectations and statutory requirements of the role as part of the mentor process and line manage SSA’s. The role will be office based, however there may be times when you are required to support in class, support in a different office within the LIFE provision and conduct other duties.

You will need a minimum 3 year’s general work experience of working with students in schools, adult education, prisons or voluntary/charitable organisations and experience of supporting learners with specific additional needs.
