ABOUT US
Transforming lives through excellent education
London Met is an extraordinary institution. Equity and social inclusion have always been our driving principles, and it's what makes the University so unique. Our organisation is distinctive, both in its eclectic and diverse community of students and staff, and also for its historical role in serving some of London’s most deprived boroughs. Everything we do is underpinned by our philosophy that an individual should have the opportunity to transform their life through the power of education.
Equipping our students with the tools for their future is at the heart of our academic offering. We pride ourselves on providing our students with access to a wealth of opportunities and professions. Our graduates benefit personally, but also contribute their unique perspectives to society, culture, public service and the economy in all areas of London, the UK and around the world.
The Internal Communications Officer plays a key role in the University’s Marketing and
Communications Team, a unit within the University’s Student Recruitment & Business Development Department led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Gary Davies.
As an equal opportunities employer we are proud to welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status.

They will be required to write and edit copy for a variety of internal communications and manage the fortnightly staff newsletter. The Officer will be expected to support the Internal Communications Manager (Staff), working closely with internal stakeholders to create and execute communications plans to support projects and campaigns. The Officer will ensure staff and students are fully informed of University news and updates, and support the Senior Leadership Team in their communications activity.
Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager (Staff), this is a role that demands proactivity, sensitivity and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, knowledge of digital platforms and content creation, and have experience of strategic communication.
