The Role
The role involves provision of practical and operational technical support for teaching, projects, and research in the Faculty of Health, Science, Social Care and Education (HSSCE), mainly in the Departments of Pharmacy and Chemistry and potentially in any other area of the Faculty. You will support the department/Faculty in area of expertise and ensure efficient set up and provision of chemicals, materials and equipment for the smooth delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry and pharmaceutical science practical classes.
The Person
You will have good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) along with good organisational skills to plan and prioritise workload. You will be able to work independently and as a team member to maintain accurate records. You will have good analytical and problem-solving skills and can deliver at a consistent level of quality enhancement in all areas of academic practice.
The Faculty
The Faculty offers wide ranging practice-based education and training programmes across nursing, health science, midwifery, social care and teaching which are informed by high quality and impactful research.
We have a successful track record in public and service user engagement and developing knowledge transfer partnerships and other enterprise activities.
The Faculty’s professional administration and support teams work together to ensure business and support services are effective, efficient and sustainable in meeting the needs of our students, staff, stakeholders and areas of work.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £32,271 per annum.
