An exciting opportunity has been created at the University of Glasgow for a talented Communications Specialist for our new Glasgow Changing Futures (GCF) Programme. The GCF Communications Specialist is a pivotal new role which will provide professional communications expertise to share the ambitions, objectives and activities of the Programme.
This role will report to the Research Communications Manager as part of the Research Communications team in the Research Impact & Engagement portfolio, Research Services Directorate. Being part of the Research Communications team will enable you to build your communications network whilst working in partnership with colleagues in the Glasgow Changing Futures portfolio to articulate the vision and activities of this exciting new Programme and Institute.
In joining the Research Services Directorate, you will join a team of research professionals. Our team is creative, and collaborative, and we are committed to working together and with colleagues across the University and externally to ensure a positive environment for people, and research endeavours, to thrive. We are also passionate about our profession and developing research professional staff careers.
We work in partnership with the Vice Principal for Research & Knowledge Exchange. Much of the implementation of the research strategy is by working in collaboration with colleagues across the four Colleges and University Services. We also work closely with the Vice Principal for Economic Development & Innovation and the Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Engagement Directorate. Working collectively across research and innovation ensures researchers are set up for success.
This role will be based on the Gilmorehill campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.
