Do you have experience in a senior administrative role, with the ability to deliver operational priorities in line with wider Directorate and University strategies? If so this full time and fixed term role, to July 2025, could be ideal.

The Operations Managers will coordinate the operational and administrative service for the Divisions and will support the implementation of the Effectiveness and Efficiency review and the aims and objectives of Kent 2030. Working in support of the objectives of divisional leadership teams, and providing support to the Directors of Division and the Heads of Operations, they will ensure that the divisional priorities, objectives, plans and strategies are achieved.

What will you be doing, day to day?

  • Coordinate with central PSD’s on delivery of services and processes, policies and procedures into the Division and to signpost the administrative support processes to optimise efficiency and ensure the divisional needs are met
  • Project manage and deliver critical transitional projects for divisions
  • Operate effectively as a senior administrative leader, working in close collaboration with academic leadership role holders and the Heads of Operations to maintain all necessary policies, systems and processes
  • Act as a key contributor to the divisional planning process and provide management information, through the provision and analysis of accurate and meaningful intelligence

  • Demonstrable ability to deliver operational priorities in line with wider Directorate and University strategies
  • Proven experience of assisting with the management of budgets and planning sustainably for the future
  • Excellent analytical, interpretation and research skills and a working knowledge of operational requirements within a Division
