The MHRA is transforming. Through enabling innovation, making the right judgements of the benefits and risks of medical products and forging the right partnerships in the UK and internationally, it aims to deliver world class regulation and improved outcomes for UK patients.
We are currently looking for an experienced Higher Scientist to join our Standards Lifecycle team in the Science, Research & Innovation group.
Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: working to independently carry out experiments, developing and executing appropriate serological and molecular assays, maintaining accurate records, analyse data and prepare presentations and written reports to effectively communicate findings to internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a BSc degree in a relevant discipline, combined with graduate experience working in a laboratory, with a proven record of serological assay design and development and the ability to plan and undertake scientific experiments.
They will also have excellent analytical skills, with experience in analysing and interpreting data for the preparation of scientific reports or presentations, the ability to communicate in a straightforward, honest and engaging manner with colleagues and stakeholders, and a positive approach to keeping the whole team’s efforts focused on the top priorities.
