Our Motor Vehicle Section is equipped with fully fitted, recently refurbished workshops and up to date equipment and resources. We have invested in hybrid/electric technology, as this is a growing area of our course provision. Our learners are mostly aged 16-19 and studying City and Guilds qualifications, although we have plans to introduce IMI qualifications.
As Section Manager for Motor Vehicle, you will be responsible for the curriculum management of Motor Vehicle provision across both Engineering - Technology and Innovation and Technical Apprenticeship Schools. You would teach on a range of programmes according to your specialism, line manage a team of lecturers and assessors and co-ordinate the design and delivery of Work Based Learning programmes.
Qualified to level 3 in a relevant subject area and with a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, you will possess at least 3 years’ experience in teaching in Motor Vehicle. You will need to possess some curriculum management/co-ordination experience, a good understanding of Work Based Learning and the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to achieve success.
