About the Role
As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our BSc (Hons) Biochemistry and BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science programmes and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.
Edge Hill Biosciences is a relatively small but dynamic and growing Department seeking to develop and make a significant contribution both to biology and the student experience. Students enjoy their time with us as evidenced by our excellent NSS scores and we have had considerable investment in equipment for research and teaching. We have begun a flying faculty delivery of our undergraduate biology degree in China, meaning this is an exciting time to join the Department.
You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework exercise. Also contributing to administrative duties in the department or the wider university community.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in biochemistry and teaching experience on relevant undergraduate programmes is essential. A background in some aspect of biochemistry, with supporting qualifications and experience is essential. We welcome applications from any area of biochemistry, but we are particularly interested in individuals working in biomedical science and/or cell biology who would contribute to new or existing course content on our relevant degrees.
To be successful you will further enrich our students experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and experience.
