The Research Centre for Future Transport and Cities and its Translational Impact Centre for Connected and Autonomous Automotive Research is at the forefront of mobility innovation in a rapidly changing technology-enabled world. We see major disruption in the transport sector due to the imminent arrival of future technology such as connected and automated mobility. As a result of this, the way in which people, goods and services moves is changing dramatically and we are guiding that change.
The Role
We are seeking an Assistant Professor in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (Research and Teaching) to join The Research Centre for Future Transport and Cities (FTC). You will be responsible for conducting and/or leading impactful Research within FTC alongside contributing to the development and delivery of teaching, learning and assessment and/or supervision to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students across the Coventry University Group.
Reporting to the Professor in Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs), you will have working experience in the follow areas:
Qualifications Required
A PhD or equivalent in the relevant area of research of Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence for transport related wireless communications and cybersecurity

You will have an outstanding record of producing internationally recognised research outputs.
You will have the ability to seek research funding and to deliver research project in line with the funding agreements.
You will have the ability to establish networks relevant to the research centre strategy and operations.
