The Finance Division is looking for a Planning Partner to work with the University's professional services and collections on a diverse portfolio of service and surplus improvement projects.  As part of the Academic & Financial Planning & Analysis team (AFPA), you will play a vital role in the work of that team, to support the University's academic mission by enabling the development, prioritisation and implementation of academic and strategic plans within financially sustainable budgets.

The Role

This role is responsible within AFPA for leading and coordinating long-term strategic planning across professional services and collections, and enabling the alignment of overall plans with University-wide financial planning and resourcing strategies.  As Planning Partner, this role will:

  • Inform, influence and enable effective, evidence-based decision making for operational and infrastructure planning for professional services and collections.
  • Provide leadership in the provision of high-quality partnering support to colleagues in professional services and collections, establishing, maintaining and extending a network of planning contacts and strong, stakeholder relationships across the University.
  • Be a key source of expertise for senior University leaders such as Pro-Vice-Chancellors.

Location

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows. This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role. 

Funding for this post is permanent.
