A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Translational Manager to work within the Centre for the Cellular Microenvironment (CeMi), a cross college research centre between the James Watt School of Engineering and the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences.

In this role, the postholder will manage the overall Mechanobiology-based medicine / Mechanomeds project, which is an EPSRC Transformative Healthcare Technologies Second Phase Funding grant. You will report to the PI, Professor Manuel Salmeron-Sanchez, and will make sure that the project stays on track and that objectives, milestones and deliverable as well as any changes in the research are documented.

The successful candidate will engage with potential users of the research and to facilitate a dialogue with industry about technological challenges and translational opportunities. They will also be responsible for managing the work packages and aims of the grant, identify and help lead changes needed for the delivery of this cross college and university strategic grant. In addition, they will provide regular financial, administrative and management reports, with recommendations as appropriate to the Strategic and International Advisory Board.

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and has funding available until 30 September 2028 in the first instance. Relocation expenses will be paid where appropriate.
