About the Role
This role will provide critical support to the Director of Business Operations and Partnerships and the wider needs of the Business Operations and Partnerships team, covering duties including diary management and committee/meeting servicing, along with more general administrative duties including:
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience of working in an administrative role in a university, public-sector, or similar organization as well as knowledge of HR and financial processing systems. You will have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team and excellent organisational and record-keeping skills. You will be well versed in communicating with a wide range of stakeholders at different levels of seniority and will have excellent IT skills and familiarity with Office 365 suite of programmes, including SharePoint. You will be reliable, proactive, and work well with others.
About the Institute
The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, QMUL. The Institute comprises approximately 350 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre, and supports a combined total of c750 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 18 months, with an expected start date in May 2024. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £31,421 – £38,165 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
