About the role

Derby Law School is seeking to recruit a solicitor or barrister to join us as a Senior Lecturer to teach on the LLM Legal Practice Course and support the development of a new LLM SQE preparation course.

This role will appeal to legal practitioners with academic experience and also to legal practitioners committed to developing and supporting the next generation of lawyers. Previous experience in Higher Education is desirable but not essential. This is a part time role (0.5 FTE) and will involve some weekend teaching.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Teaching and supporting programme design;
• Design and marking of assessments;
• Supporting student experience and career progression
