This 0.6FTE, three days per week, D grade post is available from 15th April 2024 on a permanent basis.
The role is part of the University of Exeter Medical School which is based in the Knowledge Spa, Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust, Truro. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that the role holder spends time at the Knowledge Spa and the Penryn Campus, with some working from home flexibility.
Summary of the role
The education support team in Truro provides operational support for clinical and academic teaching activity for medical students in Years 2 to 5 of the BMBS (medical) programme across Cornwall. The role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within administration and student experience. The need to work collaboratively, effectively and flexibly within a wider team in a busy environment is important.
About you
You will enjoy working with a wide range of supportive colleagues in a local multi-disciplinary team but with interaction with colleagues on different campuses (usually via MS Teams) when required. You should be a good problem-solver who likes developing processes and projects and has an interest in organising events. Ideally you will have experience within a large organisation such as a higher education institution or the NHS and possibly have experience administering budgets. You should also have a commitment to working with young people in an educational environment. You will have gained success working collaboratively and proactively in a team to deliver multiple objectives to high standards. We are looking for someone with excellent organisational, IT and communication skills who is able to use their initiative within a supportive environment.
