We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Handyperson/Driver to join our Facilities team!

This role provides experienced support and liaison with building users and helps deliver a wide range of building services to customers, supporting the Operation Manager (Stores, Mail, Transport) in providing proactive and comprehensive services primarily focused on:

  • Handling and distribution of all incoming, internal and outgoing mail
  • Range of van and car driving duties to achieve estate services objectives in professional and friendly way.
  • Carry out a range of store keeping duties, including the issue, receipt and storage of building materials and various maintenance parts
  • Ensuring that maximum use of labour resources are maintained within Stores, Mail, Transport

A bit about Estates and Property Services…

Estates & Facilities Services Directorate is responsible for delivering a full estates and facilities management service to the University, including property maintenance, planned maintenance and renovation, cleaning, security, caretaking and facilitating spaces for our staff and students.

The Facilities Management team sits within the Estates and Property Service Division.  Their core objective is to provide an essential and critical Facilities Management services across all campuses, to ensure the buildings and general estates are pleasant, fit for purpose and functional for everyone.
