Algorithms and Regulation for Socioeconomic Networks
Description
This is a primarily research-oriented position focusing on the dynamics of Socio-Economic Networks and in particular the interactions between Algorithms (recommendation, auction, etc.) and Agents. The research is expected to yield new insights for Public Policy and Regulation in these networks on issues such as Equity, Fairness, Polarization, Stability.
The candidate should have ideally, at least 2 years post-PhD experience (as a Post-Doc or Assistant Professor), a strong background in Computer Sciences and Mathematics, and a strong track record of research in the field of Socio-Economic Networks Analysis. Combination of skills in Machine Learning, Multi-Agent Systems, Game Theory, Decision Theory, Dynamical Systems and/or related domains would be greatly appreciated.
The candidate will join the Theoretical Micro-Economics Group of the Centre d'Economie de la Sorbonne (https://centredeconomiesorbonne.cnrs.fr/).
The candidate should be ready to teach courses in fields such as Data Science, Networks and Artificial Intelligence for master and bachelor programs in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.
The candidate should be able to teach in English.
Conditions
The Tenure Track position is for 5 years, with a teaching load of 64 hours (96 HETD) per year. Upon successful review at the end of the 5 years period, the position will be turned into a permanent/tenured full professor position in the French university system with a teaching load of 128 hours (192 HETD) per year.
The monthly gross salary will be around 3700 Euros, with a 200,000 Euros grant package including the recruitment of a post-doc.
