Full Time - 35 Hours Per Week.
We are looking for an enthusiastic researcher to work on a range of projects relating to tsetse and tsetse-borne diseases of livestock. This project will involve working across a portfolio of activities spanning in vivo, in vitro, molecular and bioinformatics projects and with multiple internal and external collaborators. In addition to research activities, a primary objective of the post-holder will manage the tsetse colony and be expected to work reciprocally with colleagues to achieve logistical as well as scientific objectives. Ideally candidates will have experience of working with arthropod vectors and large animals, and the post-holder must be prepared to work some weekends.
The Opportunity:
The post provides an opportunity for a post-doctoral researcher to take responsibility for a core research resource (tick colony) and gain experience in a breadth of scientific research areas spanning vector biology, parasitology and immunology.
