We are on the lookout for a proactive eProcurement Systems Coordinator to enrich our Governance, Systems, and Analytics team. This role presents an opportunity to shape the success of our eProcurement systems, optimize procurement practices across the University, and cultivate continuous improvement within one of the world's leading academic institutions.

The Procurement Services team at the University of Cambridge has undergone an exciting change over the last 2 years, expanding the team and progressing the way we work with our suppliers and internal customers.

The Role

As eProcurement Systems Coordinator, you will be instrumental in augmenting and maximizing the utilization of our eProcurement Systems. Armed with your innate drive, meticulous attention to detail, and adept problem-solving skills, you will report directly to the eProcurement Manager. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing procurement systems processes, fostering a culture of ongoing refinement, and offering collaborative support to various departments across the University.

  • Manage projects, administer systems, conduct reporting and analysis to maintain eProcurement system operation and data integrity; drive continuous improvements; collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and documents pertaining to eProcurement systems administration, development, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders providing training, guidance, and support on eProcurement platforms, aligning closely with policies and procedures further embedding our commitment to operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Foster strong relationships with different teams and departments through support and excellent customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Offer support, promptly troubleshooting issues, identifying areas for improvement, and serving as the go-to subject matter expert.

Your Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a complex procurement environment, ideally in both public and private sectors. You will have experience of building strong stakeholder relationships through excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in procurement systems, master data, and spend management solutions.
  • Knowledge of catalogue/marketplace systems.
  • Experience in end-to-end procurement processes, ideally in a range of indirect procurement categories.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse various data sets with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • CIPS Level 4 certification or ambition to work towards it
  • MBCS (or ambition to work towards professional IT certification).

Location

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows.

The Finance Division has embraced hybrid working and individuals are currently working with their team two days a week from a University site, principally Greenwich House, and three days worked remotely (for those working a standard Mon to Fri week). This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
