Henley Business School is advertising for a 12-month student placement starting in September 2024 aimed at a confident undergraduate student looking to contribute to impactful projects to support the performance and rankings of our business school. You will bring your experience as a student to shape the planning and implementation of multiple projects around student and alumni engagement and communications, data collection and analysis, and the preparation of data visualisation dashboards.

This exciting 12-month full-time Junior Rankings Assistant role within the Performance & Rankings team at our Reading Whiteknights campus will provide the successful student with highly valued skills for their post-graduation work and career development.

Henley Business School is among an elite group of international business schools to be triple-accredited for the quality and capability of its faculty and output.

You will work with the Head of Rankings and Performance and Head of Network & Engagement and use your experience as a student to support and establish trusted relationships with individuals and teams of students and alumni from across the world. Projects will include active participation in the preparation and delivery of multi-lingual (in particular English and Mandarin) engagement and communication activities using various media such as email, telephone, and social media channels. You will also have opportunities to undertake data processing activities, such as tracking response rates and data recording into our relationship-management database. You will also be involved in the production of data reporting performance dashboards.

The successful individual will have excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to encourage and inspire students and alumni to value their lifelong engagement with the business school, as well as have a keen interest in working with data to support the preparation of rankings submissions and to shape the development of performance dashboards.

You will have:

  • Good English language skills. Good Mandarin language skills desirable.
  • Good administrative skills with accuracy, attention to detail and methodical working; good Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with a wide range of people.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work within a busy schedule.
  • Must be working towards an undergraduate degree.
