We are seeking an outstanding candidate for a Lecturer position in Mathematical foundations and applications of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence within the School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Southampton. This position arises thanks to a significant new investment by the University to support our ambitions to further develop our strengths in this important area.

The position is intended for researchers in mathematical sciences or related quantitative disciplines with interests in the mathematical foundations of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science as well as novel interdisciplinary applications of these to other fields. This appointment provides an exciting opportunity for those interested in interdisciplinary research in the overlap of pure mathematics, mathematical modelling, and applications.
