Now is an exciting time to take up a leadership role within the department.  Following the appointment of a new Director of Estates and Facilities Management in March 2024, EFM is entering a transformational period with further leadership appointments in the department that will shape the team and culture for many years to come.  There are exciting challenges ahead, with the development of a new estate strategy, significant capital investment, drive to net zero, asset management and space optimisation, engineering and maintenance delivery, and campus services provision.

We are seeking an individual with significant career experience in engineering leadership roles across large scale, operational property portfolios, together with a track record of planning and executing transformation programmes resulting in performance improvement in the areas of engineering, maintenance and estate compliance.  The role calls for a leader that is a natural collaborator with excellent stakeholder management skills and a customer-centric approach to delivering engineering and maintenance services.

The University offers a compelling reward package including extensive wellbeing, lifestyle, training and development benefits as a well as a very generous pension scheme and annual leave allowance (41 days leave including UK public holidays and university closure days).
