The principal responsibilities for the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer posts will be associated with the delivery & management of the Anderson Programme pathways. There will be also be opportunities to engage in the other teaching, executive education and scholarly activities. HMG aims to combine academic rigour and practical relevance in our work and to bridge the worlds of research and scholarship, theory, policy and practice. The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer appointments will be made on the University of Manchester’s Teaching and Scholarship basis, with a typical workload split of 80% teaching & administration; and 20% scholarship activity.

The Health Management Group (HMG) at Alliance Manchester Business School is recruiting Lecturer / Senior Lecturer posts in Healthcare Management. Funding for these posts is underpinned by income from three programme pathways on the NHS Leadership Academy’s flagship Elizabeth Garrett Anderson programme. The pathways include MSc, MSc Apprenticeship and the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme (PG Dip and PG Cert).

  • The closing date for applications is Friday 10th May 2024.
  • Applicants will be informed of the outcome of the shortlisting by Tuesday 28th May 2024.
  • Shortlisted applicants for Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will be invited to an assessment centre on Monday June 17th 2024, at Alliance Manchester Business School.
  • Prior to the dates, shortlisted applicants will complete an in-tray exercise and be required to facilitate a short teaching session online on Wednesday June 12th 2024.

Candidates who are successful in the Assessment Centre will be invited for interview:

  • Lecturer / Senior Lecturer interviews will take place on Tuesday June 25th 2024.
