The Advancement Division at Imperial College London is seeking an in-house lawyer. The Division is responsible for securing philanthropic support for the College, through building and managing strong, mutually beneficial relationships with alumni and friends.
Working with around 80 colleagues within the Division, the In-house Lawyer (Advancement) will provide pragmatic legal advice and support to the Division in securing a range of philanthropic income:-
The lawyer will help to ensure compliance with law and guidance relevant to the Division’s activities, as well as providing guidance on other contractual matters within the Division.
In circumstances where a matter requires specialist advice, the lawyer may be required to provide instructions to the College’s external solicitors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with an interest in the higher education or charity sector to help the College continue its mission with the support of philanthropic giving.
