The Position:

We’re looking for full time and part time Maths Lecturers to deliver GCSE and possibly Functional Skills qualifications to 16-19 year old study programme learners.

This is a new role that has been adapted to allow the maths lecturer to not only teach maths but be a support to their groups within the vocational lessons. Experience of working with a construction environment or having experience of embedding vocational courses into the maths sessions is desirable although training will be offered for the right candidate.

Responsibilities for the role:

As a Maths Lecturer at NWSLC, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of maths courses, in particular GCSE Maths.
  • Utilise innovative teaching methods to enhance the learning experience and attainment of all students.
  • Monitor attendance and achievement.

  • Liaise with vocational staff to support the development of the maths programme and resources.

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Experience in teaching GCSE and Functional Skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and has innovative ideas and shares best practice.
  • An Excellent communicator.
  • A great team player who is flexible, with willingness to travel to our campuses.
