The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Events professional to make a difference across the whole of The University of Buckingham.
The Events and Ceremonies Manager is responsible for planning, managing and delivering the University’s major events, festivals, celebrations and ceremonies and for implementing the requisite frameworks to enable the successful delivery of other events across the University. In doing so, the Events and Ceremonies Manager will ensure that the University’s events programme delivers the best possible stakeholder experience while driving brand awareness, engagement and reputation.
The role leads on the delivery of a diverse range of events across the university all the way through to graduation ceremonies, ensuring events align with our strategic aims. This role will also develop the University’s Events function, centralising and coordinating all university events to enable successful implementation and optimised brand experience.
The successful applicant will have significant experience of running events and proven experience managing complex event planning and delivery with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
They will demonstrate strong event management, planning and collaborative skills. They will have the ability to engage key stakeholders and develop and maintain processes to enable the smooth running of a diverse range of events. They will have the ability to influence and negotiate at many levels.
