About us
UCL’s Student Psychological and Counselling Services (SPCS) are part of Student Support and Wellbeing (SSW). SSW provide holistic support for all students at UCL, helping them to stay well and perform at the best of their ability. In SPCS we undertake psychological assessments of individual students in order to help them identify and solve their problems, to identify clinically significant disorders as appropriate, and to help students determine and pursue the most appropriate treatment plan. We provide high-quality, time-limited individual cognitive behavioural therapy, psychodynamic counselling, psychiatric support and personal development workshops both face to face and online via telephone and video. We liaise with and refer to other professionals within and outside SPCS as appropriate.
About the role
The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside colleagues to provide a range of general administrative assistance to the SPCS admin team. They will contribute to the on-going development of the Student Psychological and Counselling Services.
Please note this is a part-time 0.6 FTE role, which equates to 21.9 hours per week.
About you
You will have experience in administrative roles with demonstrable inter-personal skills with people from a wide range of backgrounds and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
You will hold a professional qualification in administration and/or training or vast experience in IT including emails, Microsoft office suite and the use of a database for scheduling and record keeping.
A commitment to accuracy and time management is also key to this role.
