This is a fixed term appointment for 1 year

This is an exciting time to join the LSE, a world-class University that was founded on understanding the causes of things and for the betterment of society. The Business Improvement Unit (BIU) delivers both strategic transformational change and operational improvements across the LSE.

We currently have an opportunity for a Project Support Officer to join the Research Management and Infrastructure Programme and Evolve HR Programme. The postholder’s time would be split equally across the two programmes. Working closely with both Programme Managers, the Programme Support Officer will support the two core teams to define and deliver each Programme.

This role presents an ideal opportunity for someone aspiring to a career in project management. The post holder will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic project-based environment focused on delivering business change across the LSE.

These two fast-paced programmes will provide the successful candidate the hands on experience required to develop and progress down their project management career path.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have knowledge of project management methodologies, with demonstrable experience of successfully supporting projects
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
  • Have the ability to help build and influence networks to achieve buy-in, trust and engagement with project objectives from a diverse range of external and internal partners.
  • Be a confident, proactive decision maker able to lead on making independent decisions, as well as assisting others with effective communications activities and approaches.
