Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.

Main duties & responsibilities
Candidates must be able to prepare and assemble experiments and practical applications for students and staff in this busy Higher Education environment. This will involve the preparation of materials and equipment for practical, commercial and short course classes as required in one or more areas of the School. This will mainly involve support for specialist techniques in the robotics and mechatronics area for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and occasional support in other areas within the School.

To assist in the further developments of equipment and facilities within the School technical labs and workshops. You will support specialist techniques in the robotics and mechatronics area for both undergraduate and postgraduate students and occasional support in other areas within the School.

Skills and experience needed
You will have proven professional experience of working in a laboratory/workshop environment. You will also have substantial proven experience of working in the Electrical/electronic mechatronics/robotics technology (such as Arduino, microcontrollers and FPGA) along with experience with general workshop basic equipment and hand tool skills.

Qualifications required
Minimum of A Level’s or equivalent level qualification or proven experience. A recognised qualification in an appropriate subject at degree or HNC/HND level or equivalent is desirable.
