Job Summary
The Centre for Rapid Online Analysis of Reactions (ROAR) facility is the UK’s first Grand Challenge Institute. Based at the Molecular Sciences Research Hub (MSRH) at Imperial College’s White City Campus, this charge-out facility offers state-of-the-art automated reaction platforms and analytical instruments dedicated to the study of reactions through acquisition of large quantities of high-quality data. The mission of the Facility is to enable researchers to perform cutting edge data-led research in synthetic chemistry. The Facility supports multiple internal and external research projects.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the ROAR facility. This will include the provision of training, assistance and technical support to users. You will ensure that all users receive adequate training, comply with all health and safety requirements and provide assistance with the analysis of results. You also have overall administrative responsibility of the facility (such as training and maintenance records) and for overseeing the facility’s budget and charge-out status which includes keeping track of expenditure and income and planning future investments and running costs.
