Applications are invited for 9+1 doctoral positions within the PhD Program in Mathematics jointly among the Universities of Ferrara, Modena e Reggio-Emilia, and Parma, starting November 1, 2024.
The program will provide doctoral researchers with a high-quality education in the fields of pure and applied mathematics, and their interactions with computer science. Carefully selected research projects will introduce doctoral researchers to relevant and challenging topics at the forefront of current mathematical research.

Another position funded by MSCA-COFUND FutureData4EU is available; this fellowship is related to the topic:
Enhancing Risk Prevention in Society: Advanced Mathematical Methods and Computer Science Techniques and it will be assigned with a separate call. Employment will be for three years.

Your profile
We are looking for highly motivated, excellent candidates with strong mathematical skills and interest in pure and applied mathematics, and computer science. Applicants must hold a master’s or equivalent degree in mathematics, computer science or a related field.
Your responsibilities
Doctoral researchers will work on a theoretical or applied research project, participate in the activities of the PhD program by attending some of the curses offered, and pursue a doctoral degree.
