Salary: HSV6 £29,400 pro rata pa up to £31,856 pro rata pa plus performance related pay.

Annual Leave: 23 days pro rata, after two years continuous service, holiday entitlement will increase to 24 days and after four years an additional 2 days are awarded (26 days). Time off in Lieu will be awarded (at flat rate) for hours worked on bank holidays.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide full administrative support to the Head of Strength and Conditioning and the performance team by ensuring effective and efficient systems are in place.
  • Invoicing and receipting for S&C services delivered to external partners and individuals.
  • Manage housekeeping, maintenance of equipment, staff uniform and ensuring sufficient stock and sundries.
  • Manage the department procurement process by raising purchase orders and goods receipting.
  • To be the main point of contact for payroll queries and to assist in the collation, monitoring and delivery of monthly hours worked by Hourly Paid Sports Coaches and substantive staff overtime claims.
  • To manage the administration and maintenance of staff records, development, probation, appraisals, sickness and annual leave.
  • To service weekly team meetings, drafting agendas, taking minutes and ensuring points are actioned.
  • Liaise with external partners, clients and other departments for S&C services, bookings and business opportunities.
  • Portal administration for a variety of management systems.
  • Planning and booking of facilities for planned services.
  • To assist in the marketing of the Performance Herts brand using social media, website and other media platforms.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working in an administration and customer-based environment.
  • Personable and self-motivated with proven experience and advanced level skills in Microsoft packages as well as excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills.
  • An appreciation of the importance of customer care and the ability to create good working relationships with a range of internal colleagues and external partners and clients.
  • Understanding the need for and able to provide a confidential service. Dealing with information in a sensitive manner.
  • Good track record of working collaboratively with staff across an organisation.  
  • Ability to work under pressure, organise workload effectively and deal with conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, management, technical, communication, presentation and customer care.

Qualifications Required

Candidates must have a minimum of an A-Level/BTEC National Diploma (or equivalent qualification) or substantial experience in a professional and/or administrative work environment as a minimum requirement.
