To undertake research in line with University of Plymouth’s strategy in the sectors of renewable energy utilization and decarbonization technologies, we are currently looking to recruit motivated individual for a research assistant role (part time- fixed term contract) in the project “An Integrated Photovoltaic Thermal Smart Energy Station”. The project presents a novel energy station module integrated within a building to address climate change and increase of greenhouse gas emissions. The energy station includes solar photovoltaic panels act as electrical and thermal sources along with phase change materials as thermal energy storage and supervisory management system to autonomously control and monitor the whole station’s parameters.
As a member of the team, you are responsible for the delivery of research support to the project, undertaking basic research, including literature and database searches and developing the anticipated integrated energy station module under the guidance and supervision of Dr Tamer Kamel.

This is a part-time position, actual hours are to be confirmed, on a fixed-term basis until Thursday 31 July 2025 due to Funding.
